Father’s day is right around the corner, and you may feel your instincts telling you to grab him a last minute tie or bottle of whisky. He always loves that right? Well, the way I see it, June is the perfect month in the perfect season to start feeling great. Why not get the dad in your life something that brings out his athletic side? Everyone needs a bit of a push sometimes! Heck, he may even love it.

  1. Athletic Wear: Getting your Father sportswear can be a great way to beat the usual tie or boring sweater. If he has a favourite sport, you can easily find a piece of clothing necessary to go with it. Whether its soccer shorts, a running jacket or skiing snow pants for the winter, allow the dad in your life to feel good about his fitness hobbies.
  2. Health & Wellness Care Package: Sometimes it’s better to give a bunch of little things, rather than one big thing. For those dads who want to be healthy, but don’t really know how, get them started by putting together a basket of health and wellness products. You can include things like coconut oil, herbal teas, muesli, nutrition bars, organic & natural soaps or even seed packets to start a vegetable garden. Get creative!
  3. Gym Membership: Lots of dads are hesitant in making the commitment of registering for something, so why not take the plunge for them? Give your dad a pass for exercise classes or buy him a gym membership. He may be surprised at how much fun he has! Or, if he has a particular athletic interest, soccer or golf for example, you can get him that club membership he’s always wanted.
  4. Sports Gear: There are always new fitness toys on the market, so a new piece of equipment he has been eyeing can be the perfect gift. You can get him a new piece for his home gym, or focus the gear to what sports he enjoys… like a fishing rod, a new snowboard, a football or volleyball net. Spoil your dad with updated, new gear for his favorite hobbies.

Father’s day is an opportunity to appreciate those men in your life who we’re so thankful to have around. You can show them real appreciation by giving them something that will better their lives by improving fitness, health or encourage motivation. Happy Father’s day~! =)
